Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in the Olympic competition. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. Her first competitive event was the National Junior Championships which she finished 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she won. Three gold medals were awarded in her debut competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist countries. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974, she became the junior all-round champion. In 1975, she won four golds and one silver in her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. The first female to do the reverse double salo of the uneven parallel bar after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in the entertainment industry during her teenage years, when she performed as a figure skating duo with their twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business when she was in her teens. As a young girl she started her career as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performances.
